What We Do

Survivors.org brings together everything a survivor of sexual violence needs to thrive after trauma.

After over 20 years of supporting survivors and preventing sexual violence, Promoting Awareness | Victim Empowerment (PAVE) launched Survivors.org to make it possible for survivors, and those who care about them, to find support after experiencing sexual and/or domestic violence.

Survivors.org is a powerful and unique tool that allows for survivors to take control of their healing and find the resources they need to thrive. We do so by offering three main types of support: support resources, educational resources, and community. Our goal is to help survivors thrive after trauma.

What We Offer

Being a survivor can often feel isolating. But, you are not alone. Survivors.org is here to stand with you.

Survivor Resources

We curate resources, locally and nationally, cultivate peer support spaces, and provide one-on-one resource guidance.

Education

We create educational content to promote survivor support, prevent sexual violence, and help survivors heal.

Community

We create spaces for people with similar identities and experiences to navigate their healing journeys together.

What Makes Survivors.org Unique?

Survivors.org is unique in that we foster a supportive and inclusive community where survivors are empowered to take control of their healing journey. As a survivor-led organization, we understand that each survivor’s journey is different. We help build a bridge for each unique journey by compiling a variety of resources into one place.

We also understand that everyone knows a survivor, even if they aren’t aware, because so many people struggle in silence. Survivors.org intentionally creates tools and resources for survivors and those who care about them. In order to have a world free of sexual violence where where all survivors are supported as they heal from trauma, everyone must take part.

Promoting Awareness | Victim Empowerment

PAVE is a national nonprofit that works both to prevent sexual assault and heal survivors through social advocacy, prevention education, and survivor support. PAVE was founded in February 2001 by Angela Rose as a student organization at the University of WI-Madison in response to her own experience of being kidnapped from a shopping mall and sexually assaulted at the age of seventeen. It has since grown into a multi-national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

PAVE has trained more than 100,000 college students and 10,000 professionals and maintains chapters and affiliates across the country. PAVE’s work has been featured on many national media outlets including CNN, Today Show, Oprah Winfrey Network and a special edition of 48 Hours on CBS.
